Some friends and I went to this house and grabbed a chair and some other random stuff. The people are moving and wanted to get rid of everything, so, good deal. It's really ugly but it's a chair. Gotta love chairs. The room is looking better and better.

Drunken Pirate

Last night was my first college party, an exciting time in anyones life. I love this school and here's why, this is an email from one of my SAs (sort of like an RA):

"In case you haven't heard, all of you are invited.

Anyhow, what are you doing tomorrow night?  Maybe facilitating some
discussions then going to a DRY Harris party?  Now I like dressing up as a
pirate as much as the next guy, but wouldn't you rather be a drunk pirate?

Therefore, in honor of my 20th birthday, there will be over 7 GALLONS of
Tequila, limes, salt, and mixers for tequila sunrises, along with dancing
music on Cowles Loggia starting at 10pm.  All of you and your first-years are
invited to attend.

As much as I enjoy getting everyone drunk I don't really feel like paying for
it on my birthday.  So please bring a couple bucks to help me out. Oh, and
don't forget your shot glasses."

Gotta love that. So things are going good. I'm slowly learning how to get around campus without getting lost and my speakers should come today. sweet.

Thank you all very much for your kindness. I never thought so many people would miss me. Anyway, the college is great so far. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Although I guess that will all fade when the hellish work begins on thursday. So far I'm having fun though. More later. Have too much stufff to do.

Wasp

Tiny and I had our two year anniversary last night. As tradition holds, we went to The Acropolis. It was nice, we ended up being the only people there, as usual.

She got me the most amazing present. this. "Small Wasp Waist" - a silkscreen by Kurt Vonnegut, signed and numbered by him. Amazing. Most people know my love for all things Vonnegut and now I add another piece to my collection. It really is great. Apparently Vonnegut even talked to her in an email. Wow. Best present ever.

It looks like everything is fixed with the site. Well, as much as I can do now. The rest will be up within the first week of me getting to college, unless something unforseen happens.

So my final week in Cumberland began with a dentist appointment. I hate the dentist, always poking my teeth and shoving things in my mouth. Damn you dentist! I feel like there are a lot of things that I need to do before I leave but I can't remember them. That's probably bad. Damn you moon!

Site

Well, as some may have noticed my site is down. Here's what's going on:
I buy my web hosting annualy (what I use to store the site). My contract ends today. When I get to college I get free hosting, so I just decided to not renew the contract. Therefore, between now and when I get things set up at school I will lack hosting. However, I have set the name gotzeus.com to forward to my blog since I don't actually host the blog, blogger does. So until I get up and running, gotzeus.com will take you here.

P.S. gotzeus.com may not take you here until tomorrow. It can take up to 24 hours for this sort of thing to work.

Meatlog

I can't get that smoked smell off of my skin after the weekend of camping. I smell like I work at Hickory Farms or better yet, something that you would buy there. The weekend was fun. I think Friday night was far more fun than Saturday partly due to the overwhelming paranoia of Jacob and partly because everyone was gone by the next night. I'm going to go eat myself, I smell delicious.

Doom 3

I started playing Doom 3 today. Holy freaking crap it's awesome. Wowsers. It kicks major ass. Those of you who are familiar with the old doom, the days of cd C:\Doom are over. Amazing

Living

Today I finally found out where I'll be living in the fall. My dorm is Loose Hall and I'll be in room 6121. It looks like a pretty good deal. I got lucky, it's one of the largest rooms in one of the best dorms... w00t. I also found out who my roommate is but I still don't know a thing about him, except that his name is Mr. Nicholas S. West and he lives in Beaverton, Oregon.

Red Vs Blue

My car is fixed now. Brand new muffler and all. Yay!

Red Vs Blue has out a new video to hold us off until season three. It is extremely funny and you don't need to know anything about the previous seasons to understand. It's about the internet. You can find it here. I encourage everyone to download and watch it. On a related note, redvsblue released the season 2 DVD recently.

Actually in that last post, I was saying tomorrow is the party, when it's actually later today. It's past midnight and, while I consider that today still it appears as August 3rd on the blog thing. I know it's technically August 3rd, but I still feel like it's today. It's tomorrow

Today I got some of my dorm stuff for college at wal-mart. Gotta love wal-mart. Then I had cake. Gotta love cake too. So tomorrow's the party... gotta get me a pocket square.

Well I didn't find out where I'm living today, but I did get some health crap that I don't care about. I also found out that I'm in debt a billion dollars. That's always a good thing to know.

For my first act of birthday-hood, I will make myself an extra special lunch consisting of whatever the hell I want.

Today I might find out who my room mate is, and more importantly, where I'll be living next year. Maybe.... Only the mailman knows.

stupid car

My car is broken again, on my birthday. Actually, that's not fair, it broke a couple days ago it just happens to still be broken on my birthday. Apparently the bloody tail pipe just rusted off so it has to get a new muffler tomorrow. I am unable to go anywhere on my birthday. I hate my car.

19 is awesome

I am now officially 19. You may ask, "Zeus, how does it feel to be 19?" I will tell you that it feels GREAT. 19 is so much better than 18, and if you're currently 19 and think that it feels the same as 18, you are just lying to yourself. To all of you out there awaiting your 19th birthday I give you this piece of advice - Buckle Up. 19 is a wonderful roller coaster ride that you could never imagine.

Birthday

My birthday is tomorrow. We are having a party from 7-11 at Liv's house. I know I'll be looking my best. Word. Bring presents.

stupid human tricks

We now have another record deficit under Bush forecasted - $445 billion. That beats his (and the nation's) previous record of $375 billion. However, they're trying to spin it into news that the economy is recovering because they were originally predicting a $551 billion deficit. That just doesn't cut it and I'm glad that the media isn't really buying it. At least he's ambitious?
